'Setting up the estate plan was easy," says Mei-Lee Ney, who – rather than waiting – has begun making payments toward her estate pledge during her lifetime.

"If you believe an organization is doing a great job, you feel an incentive to support them sooner rather than later," she explains. Her unrestricted, flexible operating support helps the hospital meet some of our community's most pressing needs.

"I have great confidence in Huntington Hospital and its leadership," she adds, "and I'm confident my support will enhance the lives of the people they serve. Huntington Hospital has a reputation for quality care, and a holistic approach to serving the community," she says. "It means a lot to me to be able to benefit others through my involvement with its work."

Mei-Lee knows all about smart financial decisions. She has worked at the investment advisory firm Richard Ney & Associates Asset Management Inc. – founded with her late husband, Richard – since 1973, and currently serves as its president. She supports and strengthens our community in many other ways, serving on numerous boards of arts, educational and health related organizations. She currently serves on the board of Huntington Hospital.

"My main goal," she says of her volunteer and philanthropic work, 'is to support organizations that enhance the lives of others. It is why she chooses to contribute to Huntington Hospital. "Community support helps the hospital attract the best doctors, conduct the best research and provide the best service to our region, she shares. "To me, that's a very strong incentive to give."
